Veg*... What about the same compion in saving wild animals?

I am in this section a lot, and yes I do troll. Not to the degree of Cliff, but I annoy enough of you. My question is this: Why do all of you that go vegetarian for the reason of saving animals not seem to care what happens to wild animals? The pheasant population in Iowa is decimated because of the floods of 2008, nothing man-related. Deer and turkey are dying slow painful deaths because there are too many of them, and food was scarce this past winter. So, why aren't you donating like crazy to something like Pheasants Forever vs. looking at peta videos and lamenting in this forum?
