Should I get another Xbox 360?

So basically, I've had this Xbox 360 for about 3 years know. It finally broke. I'm happy because it was loud, overheated, and scratched up my games because it was so old. I also got plenty of error messages in it's final days which were very annoying. It also froze a lot too. So I've been waiting to get the Xbox 360 Elite, and then when I saw that this broke, I was pretty ecstatic. But then I couple of my friends, and my brother told me to get the PS3. This is where my problems began. I don't care about blu-ray, and I don't about technicalities, because in my opinion, they're both just video game consoles, and well, it doesn't matter how good your system might be if your games suck. I've been with the Xbox ever since the first one was released. I have every Halo, and M Effect, and games like Left 4 Dead, Fable, and Gears Of War are just awesome. So obviously if I switch over to the PS3, I won't be able to play my favorite games. But I know that the PS3 has plenty have its own amazing campaign oriented games of it's own. And games like in's Creed and Dead Space that are for both consoles just make the PS3 seem like less of a loss. But then lies another problem. Online. I love Xbox Live, for me, every game is lag-free, and I don't mind paying 50 bucks a year because you get what you pay for. All my friends who have a PS3 are always complaining about something wrong PSN, and that whole month long down thing is just really pushing me away from it. I know that the PS3 wins in campaign games, but the Xbox wins online. Can anybody tell me which one is more worth it, based on own personal experience? (I play both equally, so I don't have a preference.)
