Looking for your experiences/advice with auditory processing problem?

I have this learning disability, and am looking for others who either also deal with the same problem or who may know someone with tis issue. I am not stupid, I achieve A's and B's throughout middle and high school, and good grades in college too, once I got settled. HOWEVER, people think I am dumb because of how long it takes me to grasp concepts and how I say the first thing that comes to mind often. I really don't know what to do. I'm starting to believe them, it really grates on my self esteem, Thanks for any advice or possible help you might give. Please only answer if you know what this is.
